About Camp Maranatha

Who We Are

Camp Maranatha is affiliated with the Churches of God General Conference (Findlay, Ohio) and serves as a fully-operational camp and retreat facility. We exist to reach and develop individuals for Christ. We love to see people’s lives changed by Jesus. Our desire is to be a premier Christian camp where individuals may come, grow and go in the name of Jesus Christ. Please visit our statement of faith page.

What To Expect

While at Camp Maranatha, expect to experience authentic community, purposeful challenge, and Christ-focused teaching. Through these experiences, we believe individual Christian growth and development will occur, all the while having a blast doing it! We hope to see you this year as we look forward to another great year at Camp Maranatha.

Authentic Community

Each camper is placed into a cabin group with 1-2 leaders and students of their gender and age. Through the cabin group community, each camper will experience genuine relationships with others as they reflect on life and the experiences they are having at camp.

Purposeful Challenge

Each camper will be introduced to unique challenges including team initiatives, community, activities, Biblical lessons, etc. Through these opportunities, each person is given the chance to think in different ways to find a solution and also reflect on areas of personal growth needed based on what they have experienced.

Christ-Focused Teaching

Each camper will experience the Word of God in a real, meaningful and faith-shaping way. Everything we teach and encourage is based on the Bible and Jesus’ model. The staff encourage spiritual growth in campers while leading devotions, teaching lessons and modeling Christianity. Our focus at Camp Maranatha is to lead campers to a deeper relationship with Jesus in all we do.

Mission Statement

TO REACH AND DEVELOP INDIVIDUALS FOR CHRIST

2017 Theme Verse:

"If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you. If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs. But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!" -1 Peter 4:14-16
